Rooms that
feel like they've
always been there.
Todd Michael is a small interior design studio on the Main Line of Pennsylvania, working on houses that deserve time — from stone farmhouses in Chester County to Rittenhouse townhouses and everything in between.
We work slowly, and on
only a handful
of projects at a time.
The studio was founded in 2011 on the premise that a house is built out of time as much as it is out of material — and that the best interiors are the ones that look like they were never really designed at all.
Every project begins with a long conversation and a long walk. We visit the dealers, the mills, the stoneyards, and the workshops in person. We travel no further than we have to, and we spend as much of the budget as possible within a day's drive of the studio.
Every decision should look obvious in hindsight.
We keep the studio small on purpose. There are seven of us, and we rarely take on more than five projects in a given year. That cap is non-negotiable — it is the only way we know how to do this work honestly.
We do not produce mood boards. We do not send 3D renderings. We draw, we photograph, we sample, and we visit. And when we are not certain about a piece, we wait.

Now booking new projects for fall 2026.
We begin each year by meeting with a small number of prospective clients — usually over several visits, always in person when possible. If your project is in Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, or nearby, we'd be glad to hear from you.
Please include a little about the house, the scope you are imagining, and what you hope the rooms will feel like when we are done.
